Կրեմլում «ցավով» են ընդունել Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկիի խոսքերը Ռուսաստանի և Ուկրաինայի միջև լիամասշտաբ պատերազմի հավանականության մասին: «Կոմերսանտ»-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ այս մասին հայտարարել է ՌԴ նախագալի մամուլի քարտուղար Դմիտրի Պեսկովը:

«Մոսկվան չէր ցանկանա ինչ-որ ապոկալիպտիկ սպասումների տրվել նման զինված հակամարտության հավանականության շուրջ»,- ասել է Պեսկովը՝ պատասխանելով հարցին, թե արդյոք Կրեմլում պատերազմի վտանգ տեսնում են:

Ավելի վաղ Ուկրաիայի նախագահին հարց էին ուղղել Ռուսաստանի հետ լիակտար պատերազմի հավանականության մասին, որի ի պատասխան վերջինս ասել էր. «Կարծում եմ, կարող է լինել»: Միևնույն ժամանակ Զելենսկին կարծիք էր հայտնել, որ դա «մեծագույն սխալ» կլիներ:
