Եմենի «Էլ-Անադ» խոշարագույն ավիաբազային հասցված ավիահարվածի հետևանքով առնվազն 30 կառավարամետ զինվորական է մահացել, ևս 60-ը վիրավորվել է:

Ինչպես փոխանցում է Reuters գործակալությունը՝ հղում անելով երկրի զինված ուժերի ներկայացուցիչներին, ավիահարվածների հետևում կանգնած են հուսիթ-ապստամբները:

Եմենում 2014 թվականի օգոստոսից շարունակվում են զինված բախումները կառավարական ուժերի և հուսիթների միջև: Հակամարտությունն առավել ակտիվ փուլ է թևակոխել 2015 թվականի մարտից, երբ երկիր ներխուժել Սաուդյան Արաբիայի գլխավորությամբ գործող միջազգային կոալիցիան: Երկրի զգալի հատվածում վերահսկողություն հաստատած ապստամբներին աջակցություն են հայտնել Բահրեյնը, Կատարը, Քուվեյթը և ԱՄԷ-ն: Ավելի ուշ նրանց են միացել Եգիպտոսը, Հորդանանը, Մարոկկոն, Պակիստանը և Սուդանը:
