Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը Կաստամոնու, Բարտին և Սինոպ նահանգների՝ ջրհեղեղներից և սելավներից տուժած շրջանները հայտարարել է «բնական աղետի գոտիներ»:

«Ցեխահոսքերից քանդված տների տեղում կկառուցվեն նորերը` ավելի ժամանակակից: Երկիրը կշարունակի իր ուղին ամենաակտիվ տեմպերով», - ասել է թուրքական պետության ղեկավարը:

Թուրքիայի հյուսիսում ջրհեղեղների հետևանքով զոհերի թիվը հասել է 27-ի, ուրբաթ հայտնել է արտակարգ իրավիճակների կառավարական գործակալությունը:

Հինգշաբթի Էրդողանը հաղորդել էր աղետի 17 զոհի մասին:

Օգոստոսի 11-ին հորդառատ անձրևները հեղեղումների և սելավների պատճառ են դարձել երկրի հյուսիսարևելյան մի քանի նահանգներում: Քաղաքի փողոցներում ցեխային առվակներ են գոյացել: Վնասվել են շենքերը, մեքենաները և ենթակառուցվածքները:
