Հայաստանի հունահռոմեական ոճի ըմբշամարտի հավաքականի անդամ, Օլիմպիական խաղերի չեմպիոն Արթուր Ալեքսանյանի վնասվածքը լուրջ չէ: «Արմենպրես»-ին այս մասին Տոկիոյում հայտնել է Հայաստանի ըմբշամարտի ֆեդերացիայի մամուլի խոսնակ Կարեն Գիլոյանը: Նա  ընդգծեց, որ Ալեքսանյանի մոտ թեթև մկանային վնասվածք է: Նա արդեն իսկ բուժզննում է անցել և պատրաստվում է եզրափակիչ գոտեմարտին:

Օլիմպիական խաղերի չեմպիոն Արթուր Ալեքսանյանը 97 կգ քաշային կարգի կիսաեզրափակիչում օգոստոսի 2-ին մրցեց Իրանից Մոհամադալի Սարավիի հետ: Գոտեմարտի ընթացքում, երբ Ալեքսանյանը հաղթում էր 3:1 հաշվով, նա ձգեց մկանը, սակայն շարունակեց պայքարը: Ի վերջո,Արթուր Ալեքսանյանը հաղթեց 1:4 հաշվով:

Եզրափակիչում Ալեքսանյանը կմրցի Ռուսաստանը ներկայացնող Մուսա Եվլոևի հետ:
