Պենտագոնը մտադիր է կորոնավիրուսի դեմ պատվաստումը պարտադիր դարձնել ռազմական անձնակազմի համար, գրում է The Hill-ը` մանրամասնելով, որ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենը Պենտագոնին կոչ էր արել ուսումնասիրել` ինչպես և երբ հնարավոր կլինի պատվաստումը պարտադիր դարձնել ամերիկյան զորքերի համար:

Պենտագոնի մամուլի քարտուղար Ջամալ Բրաունը նշել է, որ այս հարցով ներքին խորհրդակցություններ են սկսում բժշկական ոլորտի փորձագետների, Շտաբերի պետերի միացյալ կոմիտեի հետ:

Ավելի վաղ երկրի նախագահը հայտարարել էր, որ «ԱՄՆ-ն մահացու սպառնալիքներից պաշտպանող զինծառայողները պետք է հնարավորինս շատ պաշտպանված լինեն կորոնավիրուսային վարակից»:

Նշենք, որ ԱՄՆ-ն վարակի տարածվածության և դրա հետևանքով մահվան դեպքերի թվով աշխարհում առաջատարն է: Երկրում գրանցվել է վարակման 35 584 272 և մահվան 628 492 դեպք:
