Աֆղանստանի ազգային պաշտպանության և անվտանգության ուժերը վերջին 24 ժամվա ընթացքում ոչնչացրել են «Թալիբան» արմատական շարժման 187 գրոհայինի, ևս 112-ը վիրավորվել են: Այս մասին երեքշաբթի հայտարարել է Աֆղանստանի պաշտպանության նախարարությունը՝ իր թվիթերյան էջում:

Գերատեսչության տվյալներով՝ անցած օրվա ընթացքում Աֆղանստանի զինված ուժերը «ռազմական գործողություններ են իրականացրել Կունար, Լոգար, Ղազնի, Խոստ, Քանդահար, Ուրուզգան, Ֆարյաբ, Բալխ, Ջաուզջան, Սամանգան, Հիլմենդ, Թահար, Քունդուզ, Բաղլան և Քապիսա նահանգներում»:

Աֆղանստանում մարտեր են տեղի ունենում կառավարական զորքերի և «Թալիբան» շարժման գրոհայինների միջև, որոնք զգալի տարածքներ են գրավել գյուղական բնակավայրերում և հարձակումներ են սկսել մեծ քաղաքների վրա:
