Ռուսաստանը հավատարիմ է Հայաստանի՝ որպես իր դաշնակցի անվտանգությունն ապահովելուն: Այս մասին Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի հետ հանդիպմանը հայտարարել է ՌԴ ԱԳ նախարար Սերգեյ Լավրովը:

Լավրովը հատուկ շեշտել է, որ այդ մասին նաև նշվել է Պուտինի ու Փաշինյանի, ինչպես նաև երկու երկրների ՊՆ ղեկավարների շփումների ժամանակ. «Այդ հարցում կասկածներ չեն կարող լինել»,-ասել է նա:

Լավրովը նաև ասել է, որ Հայաստանի ու Ռուսաստանի համագործակցությունը հետևողականորեն իրականցվում է բոլոր ուղղություններով, այդ թվում՝ տնտեսական, քաղաքական, ռազմական, ռազմատեխնիկական:
