Այսօր համացանցում տարածված տեղեկությունները, թե իբր ադրբեջանցիներն ամբողջությամբ զբաղեցրել են Սեւ լճի տարածքը, ներթափանցելով նաեւ Սյունիքի մարզի տարածք, չի համապատասխանում իրականությանը։ Հայ-ադրբեջանական սահմանագիծն, ինչպես խորհրդային տարիներին, այժմ էլ անցնում է լճի տարածքով, եւ այս պահին յուրաքանչյուր կողմը վերահսկում է իր հատվածը, Սյունիքի մարզից որեւէ տարածք Սեւ լիճ արգելավարում չի զիջվել։

Այն, որ այս պահին ադրբեջանական կողմն անգամ դիրքեր չի տեղադրել իր հատվածում, իսկ տարածվող նյութն ապատեղեկատվություն է, հաստատում է Առաջին բանակային կորպուսի հրամանատար, գեներալ-մայոր Ժ․Պողոսյանը, որը վերջին երկու օրերին գտնվել է այդ տարածքում։
