Կիևում ընթացող ըմբշամարտի մրցաշարում Հայաստանի ներկայացուցիչ Գևորգ Ղարիբյանը դարձավ բրոնզե մեդալակիր։

Իսկ Հովհաննես Մխիթարյանից 2 րոպե 2 վայրկյան պահանջվեց բրոնզե մեդալ նվաճելու համար։

Դավիթ Օվասապյանը հավասար պայքարում զիջեց մրցակցին բրոնզե մեդալի համար պայքարում։ Սփոփիչ գոտեմարտում Սլավիկ Գալստյանը հաղթում էր 6:4, վերջին վարկյաններին մրցավարները նկատողություն տվեցին մեր ըմբիշին՝ հաշիվը դարձնելով 6:6 ի օգուտ ղրղզ ըմբիշի: Մեր մարզիչները բողոքարկեցին որոշումը, բայց այն մնաց անփոփոխ: 6:7 հաշվով Սլավիկը լքեց պայքարը։
