Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Էրդողանը հայտարարել է, որ ոչ մի սպառնալիք Թուրքիային հետ չի կանգնեցնի Արեւելյան Միջերկրածովում բնական ռեսուրսների որոնումից, հաղորդում է  Reuters-ը:

Նա նշել է, որ Անկարան տարածաշրջանում խաղացողներից լարվածության ապաէսկալացիայի հարցով քայլեր է ակնկալում:

«Թուրքիան մինչեւ վերջ կպաշտպանի Արեւելյան Միջերկրածովում իր իրավունքները: Ոչ մի ուժ կամ սպառնալիք մեզ հետ չի կանգնեցնի»,-ասել է նա՝ հավելելով, որ Անկարան ցանկանում է վեճը լուծել երկխոսության ու դիվանագիտության ճանապարհով:

 
 

Ավելի վաղ Հունաստանի պաշտպանության նախարար Նիկոս Պանայիոտոպուլոսը հայտարարել է, որ Հունաստանը պատրաստ է բանակցություններ սկսել Թուրքիայի հետ պայմանով, որ Անկարան անհապաղ դուրս կբերի իր ռազմանավերն ու սեյսմիկ հետազոտական նավերը Հունաստանի մայրցամաքային ծանծաղուտից:
