Սիրիան և Իրանը ռազմական համագործակցության համաձայնագիր են կնքել։ Պայմանագրի շրջանակներում մասնավորապես կուժեղացվի Սիրիայի հակաօդային պաշտպանության համակարգը։ Այս մասին հայտնում է regionmonitor-ը։

Փաստաթուղթը ստորագրել են մի կողմից Սիրիայի պաշտպանության նախարար Ալի Աբդալա Այուբը, մյուս կողմից՝ Իրանի Զինված ուժերի գլխավոր շտաբի պետ Մոհամադ Բաղերին։ «Ռազմական համագործակցության համապարփակ պայմանագրով» նախատեսվում է ամրապնդել երկու երկրների միջև կապը հատկապես ռազմական և անվտանգության ոլորտում և ուժեղացնել մշտական փոխադարձ կոորդիանցիան։

Մինչ փաստաթղթի ստորագրումը երկու երկրների ռազմական ղեկավարների միջև ընթացող բանակցություններում քննարկվել են Սիրիայում տիրող իրավիճակը, ինչպես նաև՝ Սիրիայի տարածքում գտնվող բոլոր արտասահմանյան ռազմական ուժերին երկրից հեռացնելու անհրաժեշտության հարցը։

Իրանի ԶՈՒ գլխավոր շտաբի պետի խոսքով՝ սույն համաձայնագիրը կոչված է հզորացնելու Սիրիայի հակաօդային պաշտպանության հնարավորությունները, ինչպես նաև՝ նպաստելու առավել սերտ երկկողմ համագործակցությանը՝ ի հեճուկս ամերիկյան ճնշումների։
