Անգլիական Պրեմիեր լիգայի ընթացիկ առաջնության առաջատար «Լեսթեր»-ի ալժիրցի կիսապաշտպան Ռիադ Մարեզը ճանաչվել է 2015-2016 թթ. մրցաշրջանի լավագույն ֆուտբոլիստ:
Անգլիայի պրոֆեսիոնալ ֆուտբոլիստների ասոցիացիան (PFA) հայտնում է, որ լավագույն ֆուտբոլիստի ընտրությանը մասնակցել են Պրեմիեր լիգայում հանդես եկող ակումբների գլխավոր մարզիչներն ու ավագները:
Ժամանակին «Լեսթեր»-ի ղեկավարությունն ընդամենը գրոշներ է վճարել Մարեզի տրանսֆերի համար, իսկ ներկայում ալժիրցու տրանսֆերը գնահատվում է 30-45 մլն ֆունտ: Այս տիտղոսը հավանաբար էլ ավելի կթանկացնի ֆուտբոլիստի գինը:
Մարեզը անգլիական Պրեմիեր լիգայում հանդես եկող առաջին աֆրիկացին է, ով ստացել է այս պատվավոր մրցանակը: Անգլիայի ընթացիկ առաջնությունում ալժիրցին մասնակցել է 34 հանդիպման, դարձել 17 գոլի ու 11 գոլային փոխանցման հեղինակ:
