Ռուսաստանի ԱԳՆ ղեկավար Սերգեյ Լավրովը հաջորդ շաբաթ այցով մեկնելու է Վաշինգտոն, որտեղ բանակցություններ է վարելու ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Մայք Պոմպեոյի հետ, հայտնում է Associated Press-ը՝ վկայակոչելով սեփական աղբյուրներին:

Պոմպեոն Լավրովին ընդունելու է երեքշաբթի, որից հետո նախատեսվում է համատեղ մամուլի ասուլիսի անցկացում:

Աղբյուրները նշում են, որ 2 երկրների արտաքին քաղաքականության գերատեսչությունների ղեկավարները քննարկելու են սպառազինության վերահսկողությունը, Ուկրաինայում եւ Սիրիայում իրավիճակը եւ այլ հարցեր, որոնք «առնչվում են ԱՄՆ-ի եւ Ռուսաստանի միջեւ հարաբերությունների լարվածությանը»:
