Շրի Լանկայի նախագահ Մայտրիպալա Սիրիսենան երկրում տեղի ունեցած ահաբեկչությունից հետո հաստատված արտակարգ ռեժիմը երկարաձգել է ևս մեկ ամսով: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «ՌԻԱ Նովոստի»-ն, նախագահի որոշումն ուժի մեջ է մտել հունիսի 22-ից:

Շրի Լանկայի իշխանություններն արտակարգ դրություն էին հայտարարել ապրիլի 22-ին՝ ահաբեկչությունների շարքից հետո, ինչի նպատակն էր ոստիկանությանն ու զինված ուժերին տալ անհրաժեշտ լիազորություններ հասարակական անվտանգությունը պահպանելու համար:

Ապրիլի 21-ին Շրի Լանկայի տարբեր հատվածներում տեղի ունեցավ 8 պայթյունից բաղկացած ահաբեկչությունների շարք, որը խլեց 250-260 մարդու կյանք: Կատարվածի պատասխանատվությունը ստանձնեց «Իսլամական պետություն» ահաբեկչական խմբավորումը:

Շրի Լանկայի կառավարության տվյալներով` երկրի տարածքում գործում է ԻՊ 130-140 անդամ:
