Արևմտյան մի շարք լրատվամիջոցներ հրապարակել են առեղծվածային արարածի լուսանկարներ, որոնք, իբր թե, արվել են 1986 թվականի Չեռնոբիլի վթարից մի քանի օր առաջ:

Նրանց կարծիքով` հենց այս արարածն է եղել դժբախտության պատճառը:

«Սարսափելի արարածը  բարձրացել էր Չեռնոբիլի հորիզոնում, զզվելի հումանոյիդ` ահռելի թևերով, սև անգլուխ մարմնով և կարմիր  փայլուն աչքերով, որոնք նախազգուշացնում էին իրեն նայողներին, որ դժբախտություն է լինելու»,- գրում է News Corp Australia լրատվականը:
