18 տարեկան հասակում Ֆիոնա Քրիսթալը կշռում էր ընդամենը 28,5 կիլոգրամ։ Բժիշկներն ասում էին, որ նրա մոտ քրոնիկ անորեքսիա է։ Աղջիկը հաճախ էր ծաղրանքի ենթարկվում թե՛ դպրոցում, թե՛ դրսում զբոսնելիս․․․

Արդեն վեց տարի է անցել, Ֆիոնան 24 տարեկան է և այսօր զարմանալիորեն կշռում է 56 կգ, այսինքն՝ 2 անգամ ավելի, քան 18 տարեկանում։ «Ձախ կողմի այս լուսանկարս, բացի ընտանիքիցս, երբեք այլ մարդկանց ցույց չեմ տվել։ Բայց հիմա, երբ ավելի ինքնավստահ եմ, ունեմ այն մարմինը, ինչի մասին միշտ երազել եմ, այլևս չեմ ամաչում»,- գրել է աղջիկը։
