Վրացական Բաթումի քաղաքում մեկնարկում է շախմատի 43-րդ օլիմպիադան:

«Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ` Հայաստանի ազգային թիմը մեկնարկային տուրում կմրցի Ճապոնիայի ընտրանու հետ: Կանանց հավաքականի մրցակիցը Ղրղզստանի թիմն է:

Ֆավորիտ մյուս թիմերը կազմել են հետևյալ զույգերը` ԱՄՆ-Պանամա, Ռուսաստան-Ուգանդա, Չինաստան-Մակեդոնիա, Հնդկաստան-Սալվադոր, Ուկրաինա-Զամբիա:

Շախմատի 43-րդ օլիմպիադան անցկացվում է Բաթում քաղաքում սեպտեմբերի 24-ից հոկտեմբերի 7-ը: Շախմատային օլիմպիադաներում ամենաշատ հաղթանակ տարել է Ռուսաստանի թիմը: Հայաստանի ազգային հավաքականը համաշխարհային օլիմպիադաներում հաղթել է 3 անգամ` 2006 թվականին Թուրինում, 2006 թվականին Դրեզդենում և 2012 թվականին Ստամբուլում:
