Նիդերլանդների Սենատը դպրոցներում, պետական գրասենյակներում եւ հիվանդանոցներում փարաջա եւ նիկաբ կրելն արգելող օրենք է ընդունել: Այս օրենքը հաստատվել էր խորհրդարանի  ստորին պալատի կողմից 2016 թվականին, փոխանցում է Reuters-ը:

Օրենքն արգելում է հասարակական շենքերում, ինչպես նաեւ փողոցում դեմքն ամբողջությամբ փակող հագուստներ կրել, այդ թվում նաեւ՝ դահուկային դիմակներ: Ենթադրվում է, որ օրենքը նպատակաուղղված է դպրոցների, հիվանդանոցների եւ հասարակական տրանսպորտի անվտանգությանը, սակայն քննադատները կարծում են, որ դրա միակ նպատակը փարաջաներից եւ նիկաբներից ազատվելն է:
