Համացանցում քննադատության առիթ է բարձրացել քաղաքագետ Անդրանիկ Միհրանյանի խոսքը Երևանում տեղի ունեցող ցույցերի մասին: Կրեմլի ագիտատորներից համարվող քաղաքագետը այս մասին խոսել է Մոսկվայում կայացած հանդիպման ժամանակ, որը հրավիրվել է Ռուսաստանի հայերի միության (ՌՀՄ) նախագահ Արա Աբրահամյանի նախաձեռնությամբ: Միհրանյանը բարկության պահին հայերին անվանել է «охлос, чернь»:

Սա էլ առիթ է հանդիսացել, որ Ռաֆայել Հովհաննիսյանը անդրադառնա Միհրանյանի այս հայտարարությանը. «... Այսպես, Միհրանյան, դու համարում ես ժողովուրդը կեղտ: Դու ամաչում ես հայ լինելուց: Եթե այդպես է, սի...: Եվ հետդ տար նրանց, ովքեր գոռում էին բրավո քո հոգին սղոցող ճառից հետո... Եվ այլևս բերանդ չբացես հայերի մասին, խնդրում եմ»:
