Նյու Յորքի Ջոն Քենեդու անվան օդանավակայնում իրար են բախվել Air France ավիաընկերության աշխարհի ամենամեծ օդանավը համարվող Airbus A380-ը և ամերիկյան Delta Airlines ավիաընկերության ավելի փոքր ինքնաթիռը: Այս մասին հաղորդել է CNN հեռուստաալիքը, որի լրագորղը եղել է A380-ի մեջ:

Դեպքը տեղի է ունեցել այն ժամանակ, երբ ֆրանսիական օդանավը պատրաստվում էր դուրս գալ թռիչքուղի` Փարիզ մեկնելու համար, իսկ մյուս ինքնաթիռն այդ պահին էր վայրէջք կատարել Նյու Յորքի օդանավակայանում: Ինքնաթիռները բախվել են թևերով: Թեպետ ուղևորներից ոչ մեկը չի տուժել, սակայն ինքնաթիռները ստացել են լուրջ վնասվածքներ:

Փարիզի չվերթը հետաձգվել է անհայտ ժամանակով: A380 ինքնաթիռում եղել է 475 ուղևոր, իսկ ամերիկյան ավիաընկերությունը տեղափոխում էր 62 ուղևոր:
