ԱՄՆ արդարադության նախարարությունը մեղադրել է յոթ իրանցիների հաքերային հարձակումների մեջ:

Մասնավորապես, ինչպես հայտնում է BBC-ն, ամերիկյան կողմը մեղադրում է հաքերներին 50 ֆինանսական ընկերությունների եւ Նյու Յորքում գտնվող ջրապատնեշի տեղեկատվական ենթակառուցվածքի վրա իրականացրած հարձակումների մեջ: Հայտնի են յոթ հաքերների անունները` Ահմադ Ֆահթի, Համիդ Ֆիրուզի, Ամին Շոքոհի, Սադեժ Ահմադեգան, Օմիդ Գահարինիա, Սինա Քեիսար, Նադեր Սեիդի: Ֆիրուզին կարողացել էր կոտրել Նյու Յորքում գտնվող Բոումեն ջրապատնեշի ծրագրային համակարգը եւ ամբողջական վերահսկողություն էր ստացել դրա նկատմամբ:

ԱՄՆ արդարադատության նախարար Լորետա Լինչի խոսքով` ֆինանսական ընկերությունների վրա իրականացված հարձակումները կարող էին լուրջ վնաս հասցնել ԱՄՆ տնտեսությանը, ինչնն ուղղակիորեն կապված է Միացյալ Նահանգների ազգային անվտանգության հետ:

Ենթադրվում է, որ Իրանը չի հանձնի իր քաղաքացիներին ԱՄՆ-ին, սակայն սա առաջին անգամն է, որ Վաշինգտոնը մեղադրանք է առաջադրում կոնկրետ հաքերների եւ նշում, որ նրանք կապված են այլ երկրի կառավարության հետ եւ գործել են պետական միջամտությամբ:
