Այս ամռան համաշխարհային հիթ դարձած «Despacito»-ի երգիչ Daddy Yankee-ն կոչ է անում օգնել իր հայրենի Պուերտո Ռիկոյին, որն ավիերվել  է Մարիա փոթորկի պատճառով։
 
«Շատ մարդիկ չգիտեն, որ ես Պուերտո Ռիկոյից եմ։ Իմ ընտանիքն է այնտեղ, իմ կինը, դուստրս ու ես ևս այնտեղ եմ ապրում։ Եվ մենք իսկապես Ձեր օգնության կարիքն ունենք»,-CNN-ի տաղավարում ասել է  Daddy Yankee-ն։
 
Երգիչը նշել է, որ ավերածությունն իսկապես աղետալի է ու կոչ է արել բոլորին, այդ թվում ԱՄՆ կառավարությանը, անել ավելին։ 
Ավերվածության է ենթարկվել նաև այն վայրը, որտեղ նկարահանվել էր Daddy Yankee-ի ու Լուի Ֆոնսիի «Despacito» երգը, որը YouTube-ում ունի ավելի քան 3,8մլրդ դիտում։
