«Իրմա» փոթորկից տուժել է ավելի քան 1 մլն մարդ. ԿԽՄԿ

Կարիբյան ավազանի ավելի քան 1 մլն բնակիչ է տուժել ավերիչ «Իրմա» փոթորկից, ևս 26 մլն-ը գտնվում է վտանգի մջ։ Այդ մասին հայտարարել է Կարմիր խաչի միջազգային կոմիտեն, փոխանցում է BBC-ն։

ԿԽՄԿ-ի տվյալներով՝ հզոր փոթորիկը փլուզել է Բարբադոսի գրեթե բոլոր շինությունները և Պուերտո-Ռիկոյի բնակչությանը թողել առանց էլեկտրականության, զգալի վնաս հասցրել Վիրջինյան, Սեն-Մարտին, Սեն-Բարթելեմ, Սենթ-Քիթս և Նևիս կղզիներին։

Վերջին տվյալների համաձայն՝ զոհվել է 10 մարդ։

Կազմակերպությունն արդեն իսկ շուրջ 600 հազար շվեյցարական ֆրանկ է հատկացրել բնակչությանը օպերատիվորեն օգնության ձեռք մեկնելու աշխատանքներ սկսելու համար։
