ՆԱՏՕ-ն դաշինքի անդամ-երկրներին է ուղարկել գաղտնի փաստաթուղթ, որտեղ թվարկված են Ռուսաստանի կողմից փոքր և միջին հեռահարության հրթիռների ոչնչացման մասին պայմանագրի պայմանները խախտելու դեպքում նրան զսպելու միջոցները։ Այս մասին հայտնում է Süddeutsche Zeitung-ը:

Պարբերականի հաղորդմամբ՝ «Ինչ կլինի, եթե…» վերտառությամբ փաստաթղթում թվարկված են Ռուսաստանին զսպելու 39 հնարավոր տարբերակներ։ Դրանց թվում են միջուկային զսպման առավել ինտենսիվ ռազմավարությունը, վաղ հայտնաբերման նոր համակարգերի տեղակայումն ու հականավային պաշտպանության ուժեղացումը։

Բացի այդ, առաջարկվում է Եվրոպայում ավելի ակտիվորեն գործարկել B-2 և B-52 ինքնաթիռները, ինչպես նաև բարձացնել Եվրոպայում տեղակայված՝ միջուկային զենք կրելու ունակ ռմբակոծիչների ջոկատների օպերատիվ պատրաստությունը։
