Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը մեղադրել է Իսրայելին օկուպացիոն գործողությունների համար և հայտարարել, որ Պաղեստինի ու Իսրայելի սահմանները պետք է որոշվեն 1967թ.-ին եղած սահմանների ամրագրմամբ:

Ինչպես գրում է թուրքական demokrathaber.org կայքը, այս մասին Էրդողանը խոսել է Պաղեստինի ղեկավար Մահմուդ Աբբասի հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ: 

Էրդողանը նշել է, որ Իսրայելը պետք է վերջ տա օկուպացիային, և «դա կլինի ոչ միայն ի շահ Պաղեստինի, այլև Իսրայելի»:

Իր հերթին, Աբբասը խորին շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Թուրքիայի նախագահին պաղեստինա-իսրայելական հակամարտության հարցում որդեգրած դիրքորոշման համար:

Նշենք, որ ավելի վաղ Թուրքիան կոչ է արել մահմեդական աշխարհին ճանաչել Պաղեստինի անկախությունը՝ մինչպատերազմյան սահմաններով:

Թուրքիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Մևլութ Չավուշօղլուն, խոսելով 1967թ.-ի պատերազմից առաջ եղած սահմաններով Պաղեստինի՝ որպես պետության ճանաչման անհրաժեշտության մասին, պաղեստինյան խնդիրն անվանել էր ամբողջ իսլամական աշխարհի խնդիրը:
