«Իսլամական պետություն» ահաբեկչական խմբավորման գրոհայինները Իրաքի բանակի ու նրան աջակցող ուժերի ճնման ներքո նահանջել են դեպի Թալլ-Աֆար քաղաքի կենտրոնական մասը։ Այդ մասին, ինչպես հաղորդում է Ria Novosti-ն, հայտնել է շիա ապստամբների հրամանատար Հադի ալ-Ամիրին։

Հիշեցնենք, որ քաղաքի ազատագրման օպերացիան սկսվել է օգոստոսի 20-ին։ Նախօրեին հայտնի էր դարձել, որ բանակին հաջողվել է գրավել մի քանի կիլոմետրանոց թունելը, որը ահաբեկիչներն օգտագործում էին տեղաշարժվելու համար, ինչպես նաև ռազմավարական նշանակության Ալ-Մուհլյաբիան թաղամասը։
