27 տարի անց Իրաքի և Սաուդյան Արաբիայի միջև սահմանը բացվել է

Սաուդյան Արաբիան և Իրաքը բացել են «Արար» սահմանային անցակետը։ Այդ մասին հայտնել է սաուդյան Makkah թերթը։

Սահմանը փակ էր եղել 27 տարի /1990 թվականից/, երբ Իրաքի նախկին առաջնորդ Սադամ Հուսեյնի հրամանով իրաքյան զորքը հարձակվեց Քուվեյթի վրա։

Նշված անցակետը բաց էր տարին մեկ անգամ՝ միայն հաջի ժամանակ։

Իրաքյան Անբար նահանգի ղեկավար Սոհաիբ ալ-Ռավին հայտարարել է, որ անվտանգության նկատառումներից ելնելով՝ անցակետ է ուղարկվել հավելյալ զորք։ Վերջինի խոսքով՝ սահմանի բացումը ևս մեկ քայլ կլինի դեպի հարևան երկրի հետ հարաբերությունների բարելավումը։
