Աշխարհի ամենահայտնի ժամացույցներից մեկը` լոնդոնյան Բիգ Բենը, կլռի 4 տարով, որպեսզի մասնագետներն իրականացնեն 30 մլն ֆունտ ստերլինգ արժողությամբ վերանորոգման աշխատանքները:

Ինչպես նշում է The Daily Mail-ը, Բիգ Բենի զանգը վերանորոգումից առաջ վերջին անգամ կհնչի օգոստոսի 21-ին: Մինչդեռ դրա լիարժեք աշխատանքը կվերականգնվի միայն 2021թ.:

Աղբյուրը մանրամասնում է, որ գալիք 4 տարվա ընթացքում բացառություն կարվի միայն Ամանորին, երբ հայտնի ժամացույցի զանգը կղողանջի: Հայտնի է, որ Բիգ Բենի մեծ զանգը, որը կշռում է 13.7 տոննա, հարվածում է ժամը մեկը:

Նշվում է, որ ավելի քան մեկուկեսդարյա պատմություն ունեցող ժամացույցը կորոզիայի է ենթարկվում ու փչանում:
