Բրիտանական The Daily Mail պարբերականը հրապարակել է ուշագրավ տեսանյութ, որն արվել է American Airlines ավիաընկերության՝ ուժեղ տուրբուլենտության գոտում հայտնված ինքնաթիռի սրահում:

Ֆիքսված կադրերում երևում է՝ ինչպիսի խառնաշփոթ է տիրում Աթենքից Ֆիլադելֆիա ուղևորված ինքնաթիռի սրահում: Ամենուր երևում են ցաքուցրիվ եղած, կոտրված իրեր, այսուայն կողմ թափված սնունդ ու խմիչք, ուղևորների ահաբեկված դեմքեր:

Հայտնի է, որ տուրբուլենտությունն այնքան ուժեղ է եղել, որ վայրէջքից հետո ուղևորներից 3 ու անձնակազմից 7 հոգի հոսպիտալացվել են տարբեր վնասվածքներով:

Ականատեսների համաձայն՝ կատարվածն ուղղակի սարսափելի էր:

«Վերելքից մոտ 30 րոպե էր անցել, երբ հայտնվեցինք ուժեղ տուրբուլենտության գոտում, ու ինքնաթիռը սկսեց թափ տալ, հետո այն կտրուկ ներքև սլացավ, երեխաները սկսեցին լացել, մարդկանց մի մասը գլուխները հարվածեցին առաստաղին»,-պատմել է ուղևորներից մեկը:

Նշվում է, որ օդանավում եղել է 287 ուղևոր, 12 հոգանոց անձնակազմ:
