Ճապոնիայի Նագոյա քաղաքում ավարտին մոտեցող 2026 թվականի Ասիական խաղերում Բահրեյնը ներկայացնող հայ ծանրորդ Գոռ Մինասյանը դարձել է բրոնզե մեդալակիր՝ տղամարդկանց գերծանր (+110 կգ) քաշային կարգում։

31-ամյա Մինասյանը երկամարտում գրանցեց 440 կգ արդյունք և բարձրացավ պատվո հարթակի երրորդ աստիճանին՝ բրոնզ նվաճելով բարձրակարգ և լարված մրցակցության պայմաններում։ Պոկում վարժությունում Գոռը հաջողությամբ բարձրացրեց 205 կգ ծանրաձողը՝ ձախողելով հաջորդ երկու մոտեցումները 211 կգ քաշով։ Հրում վարժությունում ծանրորդը հաջողեց երկրորդ մոտեցումը՝ գլխավերևում պահելով 235 կգ, սակայն վերջին փորձի ժամանակ 246 կգ քաշն այս անգամ չենթարկվեց նրան:

Ոսկե մեդալը նվաճեց Իրանի ներկայացուցիչ Ալի Դավուդին՝ երկամարտի 466 կգ արդյունքով (206+260)։ Պոկում վարժությունից հետո առաջատարն իրաքցի Ալի Ամմար Ռուբաիավին էր, որը ֆանտաստիկ՝ 219 կգ արդյունք էր գրանցել՝ Դավուդիին գերազանցելով 13 կգ-ով։ Սակայն հրում վարժությունում իրանցի ծանրորդը բարձրացրեց 260 կգ, և քանի որ Ռուբաիավին բավարարվեց միայն 246 կգ-ով, Դավուդին ընդամենը 1 կգ-ի առավելությամբ (466 կգ ընդդեմ 465 կգ-ի) խլեց Ասիական խաղերի չեմպիոնի տիտղոսը։
