Ճապոնիայի վարչապետ Սանաե Տակաիչին պահանջել է Ռուսաստանից ապամոնտաժել Խաբարովսկում տեղադրված «Ճապոնիայի նկատմամբ հաղթանակի» հուշարձանը՝ հայտարարելով, որ դրա կոմպոզիցիան վիրավորում է ճապոնացի ժողովրդի զգացմունքները։

«Ճապոնիայի կառավարությունը վճռականորեն պահանջել է ռուսաստանյան կողմից ապամոնտաժել հուշարձանը», — հայտարարել է Տակաիչին։

Խոսքը բրոնզե կոմպոզիցիայի մասին է, որը բացվել է սեպտեմբերի 4-ին Խաբարովսկում։ Դրա վրա խորհրդային զինվորը քանդում է սահմանային սյունը՝ քրիզանթեմի զինանշանի պատկերով։

Ճապոնիայի վարչապետը նշելէ, որ քրիզանթեմի զինանշանն ընկալվում է որպես Ճապոնիայի խորհրդանիշ, ուստի դրա ոչնչացումը պատկերող հուշարձանի տեղադրումը «բացարձակապես անընդունելի է» և վիրավորում է ճապոնացի ժողովրդի զգացմունքները։

Տակաիչին ընդգծել է, որ Տոկիոն արդեն պաշտոնապես պահանջել է Ռուսաստանից դադարեցնել հուշարձանի տեղադրումն ու հեռացնել այն։ Ըստ նրա, ճապոնական կառավարությունն ամեն ինչ կանի հուշարձանի ապամոնտաժմանը հասնելու համար։
