Ազատ ոճի Հայաստանի ազգային հավաքականի չորս ըմբիշներ Կասպիյսկ քաղաքում մասնակցում են Ալի Ալիևի հուշամրցաշարին: Հավաքականի գլխավոր մարզչի պաշտոնակատար Հաբեթնակ Կուրղինյանը ՀԱՕԿ լրատվականին հայտնել էր, որ մրցավայր մեկնելու են հինգ ըմբիշներ, որոնք ընթացիկ տարում համեմատաբար քիչ գոտեմարտեր են անցկացրել միջազգային գորգում:

Սակայն Հայաստանի ըմբշամարտի ֆեդերացիայի գլխավոր քարտուղար Արայիկ Բաղդադյանը ավելի ուշ ճշտեց, որ 65 կգ քաշային Նարեկ Սիրունյանը վնասվածք է ստացել և չի մեկնել:

Կասպիյսկում մրցումային առաջին օրը գորգ մտել են Գարիկ Բարսեղյանը՝ 57 կգ քաշային կարգ, Վալտեր Մարգարյանը՝ 70 կգ և Գեորգի Կետոևը՝ 97 կգ: Առաջին երկուսն անմասն են մնացել մրցանակային տեղերից, իսկ Կետոևը դարձել է բրոնզե մեդալակիր:

Այսօր պայքարի մեջ ներգրավվել է 86 կգ քաշային Վահե Թամրազյանը:
