ԱՄՆ-ն դեմ է, որ Հորմուզի նեղուցով անցնելու համար Իրանն առևտրային նավերից վարձավճար գանձի, հայտարարել է ԱՄՆ նախագահը: Դոնալդ Թրամփը նաև շեշտել է՝ բարձր հարստացված ուրանի պաշարները պետք է դուրս բերվեն Իրանից։

«Մենք ուզում ենք, որ նեղուցը բաց լինի։ Մենք ուզում ենք, որ այն անվճար լինի … Այն միջազգային ջրային ուղի է և վճարովի չէ … Չի եղել որևէ նավ, որը կարողանար անցնել առանց մեր թույլտվության։ Եվ նավատորմը հիանալի աշխատանք է կատարել … Ոչ մի նավ չի գնում դեպի Իրան կամ դուրս չի գալիս Իրանից առանց մեր թույլտվության»,- ասել է նա։

Լրագրողները հետաքրքրվել են՝ արդյոք Իրանում պետք է մնա բարձր հարստացված ուրանը, ինչին ԱՄՆ նախագահը պատասխանել է.

«Ո՛չ, ո՛չ։ Մենք կստանանք բարձր հարստացված ուրանը … Դա մեզ պետք չէ։ Մենք այն, հավանաբար, կոչնչացնենք ստանալուց հետո, բայց թույլ չենք տա, որ նրանք ունենան դա»։
