ԱՄՆ-ի ծախսերը Իրանում ռազմական գործողության վրա գերազանցել են 85 միլիարդ դոլարը մարտական գործողությունների վարման 79 օրվա ընթացքում: Այս մասին հայտնում է Iran War Cost Tracker պորտալը:

Պորտալի հաշվիչը, որն աշխատում է իրական ժամանակի ռեժիմում, հիմնված է ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի համար Պենտագոնի մարտի 10-ի ճեպազրույցի վրա, որում նշվում էր, որ Մերձավոր Արևելքում մարտական գործողությունների վարման առաջին վեց օրվա ընթացքում Վաշինգտոնը ծախսել է 11,3 միլիարդ դոլար և նախատեսում է հետագայում ծախսել ևս 1 միլիարդ դոլար հակամարտության յուրաքանչյուր հաջորդ օրվա համար:

Այս նպատակների համար ծախսերի գումարը, ըստ ռեսուրսի վարկածի, գրեթե երեք անգամ գերազանցում է ֆինանսների գծով ԱՄՆ պաշտպանության նախարարի տեղակալի պաշտոնակատար Ջուլս Հերստի կողմից ավելի վաղ նշված գումարը:

Կոնգրեսի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի հատկացումների կոմիտեում կայացած լսումների ժամանակ նա հայտարարել էր, որ Վաշինգտոնը Իրանի դեմ ռազմական գործողության վրա ծախսել է մոտ 29 միլիարդ դոլար:
