Համայն Վրաստանի Կաթողիկոս-Պատրիարք Շիո III-ը բազմել է պատրիարքական գահին, հայտնում է ՏԱՍՍ-ի թղթակիցը:

Ինչպես ՏԱՍՍ-ի թղթակցին հաստատել են հոգևորականության ներկայացուցիչները Մցխեթայի Սվետիցխովելի տաճարի մոտ, որտեղ տեղի է ունենում Վրաց ուղղափառ եկեղեցու նոր առաջնորդի գահակալությունը, Շիո III-ն արդեն պաշտոնապես հանդիսանում է Վրաստանի պատրիարքը:

Մցխեթայի Սվետիցխովելի տաճարում առավոտից ընթանում է Համայն Վրաստանի նոր Կաթողիկոս-Պատրիարքի գահակալության արարողությունը: Տաճարում են գտնվում Վրաց ուղղափառ եկեղեցու քահանայապետերը, Սուրբ սինոդի անդամները, քահանաները: Եկեղեցի են ժամանել Վրաստանի նախագահ Միխայիլ Կավելաշվիլին, վարչապետ Իրակլի Կոբախիձեն, խորհրդարանի խոսնակ Շալվա Պապուաշվիլին և Վրաստանի կառավարության ու խորհրդարանի այլ անդամներ: Տաճարի բակում հավաքվել են հավատացյալներ: Նրանք գահակալության արարողությանը հետևում են մեծ մոնիտորների միջոցով:

Հիշեցնենք, որ մայիսի 11-ին Թբիլիսիի Սուրբ Երրորդություն մայր տաճարում տեղի է ունեցել Վրաց եկեղեցու ընդլայնված ժողովը, որի ժամանակ Սինոդի 39 անդամները քվեարկել են նոր պատրիարքի օգտին: 57-ամյա Շիո սրբազանը, ով մարտի 17-ին վախճանված Իլյա II պատրիարքի տեղապահն էր, ստացել է 22 ձայն և ընտրվել նոր պատրիարք:
