ԱՄՆ ԶՈւ Կենտրոնական հրամանատարությունը խնդրել է Dark Eagle հիպերձայնային հրթիռներ ուղարկել Մերձավոր Արևելք՝ Իրանի դեմ հնարավոր օգտագործման համար։ Այս մասին հայտնում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը՝ հղում անելով Bloomberg գործակալությանը։

Ինչպես նշվում է, հարցման հաստատման դեպքում սա կլինի Միացյալ Նահանգների կողմից հիպերձայնային հրթիռների տեղակայման առաջին դեպքը։

Կենտրոնական հրամանատարությունը հիմնավորել է իր խնդրանքն այն փաստով, որ Իրանը տեղափոխել է արձակման կայանքները ավելի քան 482 կմ հեռահարություն ունեցող Precision Strike Missile բալիստիկ հրթիռների հասանելիության գոտուց դուրս, նշել է գործակալության աղբյուրը։

Նա հավելել է, որ Իրանի դեմ գործողության իրականացման ժամանակ հիպերձայնային զենքի տեղակայման մասին որոշումը դեռևս կայացված չէ։
