Ռուսաստանն իր չափերով ու հզորությամբ միշտ վախեցրել է եվրոպացիներին, որոնց համար շահավետ ու հարմար էր այն որպես երևակայական թշնամի օգտագործելը։ Այս մասին հայտարարել է Ռուսաստանի նախագահի մամուլի քարտուղար Դմիտրի Պեսկովը, հայտնում է ТАСС-ը։

«Նման մոտեցումը միշտ հարմար է ներքաղաքական նպատակների համար»,- նշել է Պեսկովը:

Ըստ նրա, Եվրոպան փորձում է տնտեսության մեջ իր կարճատես որոշումները քողարկել գաղափարախոսությամբ՝ այն պնդմամբ, թե ՌԴ-ն «դժոխքի ծնունդ է և սպառնալիք ԵՄ-ի համար»։

«Ռուսաստանը պատրաստ կլիներ գազ մատակարարել արևմտյան երկրներին, եթե այլընտրանքային շուկաներից ծավալներ մնային։ Սակայն դրանք «շատ որկրամոլ են» և մատակարարման մեծ թվով հայտեր են ներկայացնում»,- ասել է Պեսկովը։

Նա նաև չի բացառել այն սցենարը, որի դեպքում ԵՄ երկրները գազ գնելու միջոց կգտնեն, նույնիսկ եթե ՌԴ-ն դադարի այն վաճառել։
