Կուբան անամոթություն է համարել վառելիքի մատակարարման վերաբերյալ ԱՄՆ դեսպանատան խնդրանքը։ Այս մասին հայտնում է The Washington Post-ը։

Կուբայի կառավարությունը մերժել է Հավանայում Ամերիկայի դեսպանատան հարցումը՝ դիվանագիտական առաքելության գեներատորների աշխատանքն ապահովելու համար դիզելային վառելիք ներկրելու վերաբերյալ։ Կղզու իշխանությունները խնդրանքն անամոթություն են համարել, քանի որ վառելիքային շրջափակման մեջ Կուբան մեղադրում է ԱՄՆ-ին։ 

Ինչպես հայտնել են պարբերականի զրուցակիցները, հարցումը ենթադրում էր ԱՄՆ-ից վառելիքով երկու կոնտեյների ներկրում։

Ամերիկայի նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը սպառնացել է մաքսատուրքեր սահմանել ցանկացած երկրի դեմ, որը վառելիք կմատակարարի կղզուն։ ԱՄՆ դեսպանատան գնահատականներով՝ Կուբայում էլեկտրաէներգիայի դեֆիցիտը հասնում է 60%-ի։
