UFC-ի նախագահ Դանա Ուայթը հասկացրել է, որ իր ղեկավարած կազմակերպությունը մտադիր չէ միջամտել պրոմոուշենի լավագույն թեթևքաշայիններից մեկի՝ Արման Ծառուկյանի մասնակցությամբ տեղի ունեցած միջադեպին։

Հիշեցնենք, որ նախորդ շաբաթ հայ մարտիկը ըմբշամարտի «RAF 6» մրցաշարում գոտեմարտի ավարտից հետո բռունցքներով հարվածել էր մրցակցին։ Սկանդալի կենտրոնում այն գոտեմարտն էր, որում Ծառուկյանը 5-3 հաշվով առավելության էր հասել ամերիկացի Ջորջիո Պուլասի նկատմամբ։ Սուլիչից անմիջապես հետո Արմանը հարվածել էր իրեն պարբերաբար սադրող ամերիկացուն, ինչի պատճառով մրցագորգին զանգվածային քաշքշուկ էր սկսվել։
