Մեծ Բրիտանիայի վարչապետ Քիր Սթարմերը կարող է ստիպված լինել մեկ շաբաթվա ընթացքում հրաժարական տալ: Այս մասին հայտնում է Bloomberg գործակալությունը՝ վկայակոչելով իշխող Լեյբորիստական կուսակցության աղբյուրները, փոխանցում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը։

Նման քննարկումների առիթ դարձավ դատապարտված  Ջեֆրի Էփշթեյնի ընկերոջ՝ Փիթեր Մանդելսոնի՝ Միացյալ Նահանգներում Մեծ Բրիտանիայի դեսպան նշանակման շուրջ ծագած սկանդալը։

Այս սկանդալն արդեն հանգեցրել է Մեծ Բրիտանիայի վարչապետի աշխատակազմի ղեկավար Մորգան Մաքսուինիի հրաժարականին, որը հրաժարական տվեց փետրվարի 8-ին։

Ըստ Bloomberg-ի՝ իշխող Լեյբորիստական կուսակցության մի շարք պատգամավորներ զարմացած են մնացել, որ Սթարմերը նախկինի պես պահպանում է իր պաշտոնը, չնայած այն հանգամանքին, որ հենց նա է թույլատրել Մանդելսոնին դեսպան նշանակել:
