Ճապոնիայի ափերից ոչ հեռու բախվել են ամերիկյան ռազմածովային ուժերին պատկանող Fitzgerald ականակիրը և Ֆիլիպինների դրոշի տակ ընթացող ACX Crystal առևտրային նավը։ Այդ մասին հայտնում է Reuters-ը։

Ամերիկյան կողմի փոխանցմամբ՝ բախման հետևանքով ականակրի անձնակազմի 3 անդամներ, այդ թվում՝ կապիտանը, ստացել են մարմնական վնասվածքներ և շտապ տարհանվել են։ Հայտնի չէ նաև 7 ծովայինների ճակատագիրը. նրանց որոնողափրկարարական աշխատանքները շարունակվում են։

Միևնույն ժամանակ ԱՄՆ ՌԾՕՈՒ 7-րդ նավատորմը իր Twitter-ի էջում հայտնում է, որ տուժածների ու զոհերի մասին տեղեկություն չի ստացվել դեռևս։

Բախումից հետո ականակիրը շարունակել է իր ճանապարհը, չնայած աջ հատվածի վնասվելուն։
