Գրեթե բոլորը գիտեն, որ ուշ երեկոյան սուրճ խմելը հանգեցնում է անքնության, սակայն թե ինչ է կատարվում օրգանիզմում շատերին հայտնի չէ։

Սուրճը մեզ էներգիա է տալիս, իսկ էներգիան խանգարում է քնելուն։ Նոր հետազոտությունը պարզել է, որ կոֆեինի ազդեցությունը մեր օրգանիզմի վրա իրականում շատ ավելի բարդ է։

Կոլորադոյի համալսարանի Մոլեկուլային կենսաբանության լաբորատորիայի հետազոտողները բացահայտել են, որ կոֆեինն ազդում է մեր հորմոնների մի խմբի վրա, որն անվանում են ցիրկադային ռիթմ։ Սուրճը երեկոյան խմելու դեպքում կանխում է մելատոնինի արտադրությունը՝ հորմոն, որը մեզ ստիպում է քնել։

Այնպես որ, երեկոյան  սուրճ ցանկանալու դեպքում, մտածեք, ցանկանում լավ քնել, թե ոչ։
