ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը հայտարարել է, որ  համաշխարհային տնտեսությունը կանգնած է համակարգային երկարաժամկետ մարտահրավերների առջև: 

«Մեր առջև համակարգային երկարաժամկետ մարտահրավներ կան,  որոնց հետևանքները դեռևս դժվար է հաշվարկել և կանխատեսել: Մենք չպետք է և իրավունք չունենք շռայլելու, գզվռտոցի և թշնամանքի վրա ուժ և ժամանակ վատնելու»,- Գազետա.ռու-ի հաղորդմամբ ասել է Վ.Պուտինը Պետերբուրգի միջազգային տնտեսական ֆորումի ժամանակ:

Ավելի վաղ հաղորդվել էր, որ ՌԴ նախագահը խնդրել է ամերիկացի գործարարներին օգնել ՌԴ-ի և ԱՄՆ-ի միջև հաստատել բնականոն քաղաքական երկխոսություն:
