Հռոմի Պապ Լեո XIV-ը պոնտիֆիկոսի պաշտոնում առաջին պատարագն է մատուցում Սիքստինյան կապելլայում:

Հիշեցնենք, որ նախօրեին հայտնի է դարձել նոր Հռոմի Պապի անունը: Պոնտիֆիկոս է ընտրվել ամերիկացի կարդինալ Ռոբերտ Պրևոստը։

Նա վերցրել է Լեո XIV անունը:  Հռոմի Նոր Պապի իսկական անունը՝ Ռոբերտ Ֆրենսիս Պրևոստ է, նա 69 տարեկան է, ծնվել է Չիկագոյում։ Ունի մաթեմատիկական կրթություն և ավարտել է Սուրբ Օգոստինոս օրդենի սեմինարիան։ Ձեռնադրվել է քահանա 1982 թվականին՝ Պերուում Օգոստինյան առաքելությանը միանալուց անմիջապես հետո։ Նա վերադարձել է Նահանգներ 90-ականների վերջերին և շուտով դարձել Ավգուստինյան օրդենի գլխավոր պրիորը: Եպիսկոպոս է ձեռնադրվել 2014 թվականին Ֆրանցիսկոս պապի կողմից, իսկ 2020 թվականին նշանակվել առաքելական կառավարիչ Պերուում։ 2025 թվականի փետրվարին Ֆրանցիսկոսը նրան բարձրացրել է կարդինալ եպիսկոպոսի (այսինքն՝ ավագ կարդինալի) աստիճանի։ Պատմության մեջ առաջին Պապն է ԱՄՆ-ից:
