Վենեսուելայի նախագահ Նիկոլաս Մադուրոն կոպիտ կերպով պահանջել է ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թարմփից չխառնվել իր երկրի գործերին: Այս մասին հայտնում է «ՌԻԱ Նովոստի»­-ն:

«Ձեռքերդ հեռու տար այստեղից, Դոնալդ Թրամփ, գնա տուն: Վենեսուելան հարգում է իրեն»,­-մեջբերում է նախագահի հայտարարությունը Վենեսուելայի ազգային ռադիոն:

Ավելի վաղ ԱՄՆ-­ը պատժամիջոցներ էր կիրառել Վենեսուելայի Գերագույն դատարանի նախագահի ու յոթ անդամների նկատմամբ, իսկ նախագահ Թրամփը հայտարարել էր, որ իր երկիրն Արևմուտքի գործընկերների հետ աշխատելու է Վենեսուելայում իրադրության բարելավման համար: Դրանից հետո Վենեսուելայի կառավարությունը հանդես էր եկել հայտարարությամբ՝ քննադատելով նմանօրինակ միջամտությունը և ընդգծելով, որ Թրամփի ագրեսիան անցել է բոլոր սահմանները:
