«Օսկար»-ը բոյկոտած իրանցի ռեժիսորը կինոակադեմիայի մրցանակը ստացել է Կաննում

Իրանցի ռեժիսոր Ասգար Ֆարհադին ստացել է «Օսկար» մրցանակը «Օտարալեզու լավագույն ֆիլմ» անվանակարգում հաղթած «Վաճառողը» ֆիլմի համար Կաննի կինոփառատոնում:  Ռիա նովոստին, հղում անելով Ասոշիեյթիդ պրեսին, գրում է, որ իրանցի ռեժիսորը մրցանակը ստացել է Կաննի կինոփառատոնի շրջանակում այն պատճառով, քանի որ նա բոյկոտել էր փետրվարին կայացած «Օսկար» մրցանակաբաշխությունը, չէր գնացել ԱՄՆ՝ ստանալու այն:

Նա բոյկոտել էր ամերիկյան կինոակադեմիայի մրցանակաբաշխությունն՝ այդպես իր բողոքն արտահայտելով ԱՄՆ նախագահ Թրամփի հրամանագրի դեմ, որով նա  արգելել էր մի քանի երկրներից, այդ թվում Իրանից, քաղաքացիների մուտքն ԱՄՆ: 

Մրցանակը ստանալուց հետո ունեցած ելույթում Ասգար Ֆարհադին նշել էր, որ Կաննը այն վայրն է, «որտեղ մշակույթները խոսում են իրար հետ»:
