Բրիտանիայում շտապ օգնության մեքենաներ են պատրաստել ճարպակալումով հիվանդների համար

Մեծ Բրիտանիայի իշխանությունները հարյուր հազարավոր դոլարներ են ծախսել շտապ օգնության մեքենաների սարքավորումները վերազինելու և կատարելագործելու համար, որպեսզի ճարպակալումով տառապող մարդկանց ավելի լավ օգնություն կարողանան ցուցաբերել:

Բի-Բի-Սի-ն գրում է, որ վերջին 10 տարվա ընթացքում ճարպակալումով հիվանդների թիվը 10 անգամ ավելացել է. 2006 թվականին նրանց թիվը եղել է 52 հազար, 2016-ին հասել է 520 հազարի:

Մեծ Բրիտանիայի Առողջապահության ազգային համակարգի տվյալներով, կանանց ավելի քան 60 տոկոսը և տղամարդկանց  70 տոկոսը տառապում են ճարպակալումից՝ կապված ավելորդ քաշի հետ:

3-15 տարեկան երեխաների մեկ երրորդը նույնպես ունի նմանատիպ խնդիրներ:
