Միացյալ Նահանգների Կոնգրեսը 2017թ. ֆիսկալ տարվա բյուջեի նախագծի քննարկման ժամանակ անդրադարձել է նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի՝ Մեքսիկայի հետ սահմանին պատ կառուցելու վիճահարույց առաջարկին՝ որոշելով գումար չհատկացնել դրա իրականացման համար:

Ինչպես նշում է The Guardian-ը, առաջարկին հատկապես դեմ են եղել դեմոկրատները՝ նշելով, որ սահմանային անվտանգության վրա ծախսվելիք միլիարդավոր գումարները նպատակային չեն լինի:

Աղբյուրը մանրամասնում է, որ բյուջեի նախագծում Թրամփը զգալի ավելացրել է պաշտպանական ոլորտի ծախսերը՝ Կոնգրեսից պահանջելով 30 մլրդ դոլար:

Հայտնի է, որ նախագիծը համաձայնեցված է երկու պալատների միջև: Ակնկալվում է, որ փաստաթուղթն առաջինը կստորագրի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատը, հետո՝ Սենատը:

Նշվում է, որ 1 տրլն դոլարանոց բյուջեի նախագիծը կհաստատվի մինչև շաբաթվա վերջ:
