Ադրբեջանի և Իրանի նախագահների մասնակցությամբ տեղի կունենա երկու երկրների սահմաններին կառուցված ամբարտակների և հիդրոհանգույցների բացման արարողությունը, հայտնում է «Թուրան» գործակալությունը՝ վկայակոչելով Իրանի էներգետիկայի նախարարության հաղորդագրությունը։

Իրան-Ադրբեջան սահմանին գտնվող Խուդաֆերինի կամրջի տարածքում Իլհամ Ալիևի և Էբրահիմ Ռայիսիի հանդիպման մասին հայտարարվել էր դեռ մարտին, սակայն շաբաթներ անց չեղարկվել, պատճառները կողմերը չէին հայտնել։

Իրանի սահմանին՝ Ջեբրայիլի շրջանում գտնվող Խուդաֆերինի կամուրջն Ադրբեջանի վերահսկողության տակ է անցել 44-օրյա պատերազմի ընթացքում։ Մինչև պատերազմը, չնայած Բաքվի բողոքի նոտաներին, Թեհրանի ֆինանսական միջոցներով Արաքս գետի այդ հատվածում կառուցվել էր ջրամբար և էլեկտրակայան, սակայն այդ տարածքների նկատմամբ հաստատված հայկական վերահսկողության փաստը հետ էր պահում Իրանին դրանք շահագործելու մտքից։

Պատերազմի ավարտից հետո ադրբեջանցի և իրանցի պաշտոնյաները հայտարարեցին, որ այժմ կարող են միասնաբար օգտագործել Արաքս գետով անցնող Խուդաֆերինի ջրամբարն ու էլեկտրակայանը։
