Իսրայելի պաշտպանության նախարար Յոավ Գալանտը հեռախոսազրույց է ունեցել ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Էնթոնի Բլինկենի հետ, որի ընթացքում հայտնել է Իսրայելի վճռականությունը՝ հասնելու Գազայի հատվածում պատերազմի բոլոր նշված նպատակներին։

Ինչպես փոխանցում է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին, այս մասին հայտնել է Իսրայելի պաշտպանության նախարարության մամուլի ծառայությունը՝ մանրամասնելով, որ կողմերը քննարկել են նաև իսրայելական բանակի շարունակվող գործողությունը Ռաֆահի շրջանում։

Ըստ աղբյուրի՝ Գալանտն ընդգծել է, որ  Իսրայելը  վճռական է շարունակելու գործողությունները ՀԱՄԱՍ-ի կողմից պահվող 132 պատանդների ազատ արձակմանը և որպես ռազմական և քաղաքական ուժ այդ շարժման  ոչնչացմանը հասնելու համար։
